Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival in Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi, transfer to hotel check-in. The rest of day is at leisure.

Day 2 Hanoi – Dong Hoi – Phong Nha Cave (B,L)

Transfer to the airport for morning flight to Dong Hoi. Arrival in Dong Hoi, pick-up and transfer to Phong Nha. Have lunch at local restaurant and then take a 30-minute boat trip on Son River to visit Phong Nha Cave – known as the wet cave. You will be impressed by the big stalagmites and stalactites in the cave. Transfer to Chay Lap Farmstay and check-in.

Day 3 Phong Nha – Thien Duong Cave (B,L)

Breakfast at Chay Lap Farmstay. Then we visit Thien Duong (Paradise) Cave, discovered in 2005 by the British Cave Research Association. We can take the electrical car from the parking to the foothills of the cave (2km). Admire countless stalactites with different shapes: Thach Thien Cung, waterfall Thien Ha, Quan Tien converging, Thap Lien flower... Before your eyes the image of typical terraced rice civilization, Champa tower, Buddha Guanyin, Phuc Loc Tho, Rong House of Highlands Vietnam... Lunch at local restaurant on the way back to hotel. Afternoon is free at leisure for relaxing or taking on-site activities, such as biking, swimming at the pool or kayaking. The rest of day is at leisure.

Day 4 Dong Hoi – Hue (B,D)

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Hue. On the way, we can stop to visit the 500 year-old Phuoc Tich ancient village, about 40kms from Hue. Check-in hotel in Hue. Late afternoon, take a boat trip visit Thien Mu pagoda, one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious worship in Hue. Then enjoy special home-style dinner at a local family. The rest of day is at leisure.

Day 5 Hue highlights (B,L)

Option: you can choose the city tour by car or by scooters with Aodaigo ladies – our exclusive services in Hue www.aodaigo.com Morning, we travel eastward along the city river to Thanh Toàn tile-roofed Bridge in Thanh Toàn village, located about 8 km from Hue city. Here we will enjoy the peaceful scenery of the countryside with farmers working on their tranquil rice fields, talk to friendly local people in the small market and learn more about their daily life. Next visit the family garden, learn how to make some Hue cakes like banh beo, banh loc… and enjoy lunch there. Afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba Market. Back to your hotel for relaxing.

Day 6 Hue – Hoi An (B)

Depart Hue for Hoi An. On the way, visit Cham Museum in Danang. Arrive in Hoi An, ancient town located on the banks of the Thu Bon River, and check-in hotel. Afternoon, we take a walk to visit Hoi An, one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century and was declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. The rest of day is at leisure.

Day 7 Hoi An city tour – Cam Thanh Village (B,L)

You commence the day by leisurely cycling along country roads witnessing local Vietnamese rural life. Then visit the organic vegetable village, join in the farmer’s daily activities, such as watering and planting vegetables. Then experience riding a water buffalo in a rice paddy field. Next, you will board the boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen and enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. You will also experience paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat in the waterways of coconut palm paradise. This tour provides you with a cultural window into the ways of life of both our farming and fishing communities. Have lunch at the house of a local people.

Day 8 Cu Lao Cham (B,L) joining tour

Pick-up at your hotel and we drive to Cua Dai beach harbor. Then get on board and the boat will depart at 08:00 for about 1.30-hour cruise to Cham Island. We arrive at Lang village and the tour guide will help us understand more about Cham island with its history. Make a visit to the Marine Protected Area, the boat shelter, Hai Tang pagoda, traditional fishing village and the local market, then trek for 20 minutes to Chong village with very nice sloping and winding road and amazing view of the sea, sand and we sometimes can see some wild monkeys on the way if we are lucky enough. Go swimming, snorkeling and having lunch with some seafood afterward. Keep swimming or relaxing after lunch then get on board and cruise back to Cua Dai beach harbour. Tour ends at 3:00pm and transfer back to your hotel.
