With rolling mountains and blue
seas, Vietnam embraces a spectrum of diversity still little-known to local and
foreign travelers. Strolling around colorful hill-tribe fairs in Sapa, viewing
extraordinary limestone landscape and sailing in Halong Bay. Besides, a kayak
ride in Halong Bay, rated among the top ten of sea kayak destination in the world,
will give visitors unforgettable experiences. The tour also offers tourists
opportunities for shopping in the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and a
chance to visit the green and reverie land of the Mekong Delta.
This tour is offered for those
who love to discover the mysteries of tropical primeval forests in Con Dao,
Bach Ma and Cuc Phuong national parks. The trip should be made in the dry
season from late October to late May. Anyone who is physically fit can join the
tour. Food, drinking water and personal equipment such as insect repellent,
medical kits, etc. are not included.
An unforgettable way to discover the
Mekong Delta is to take a bicycle trip along provincial routes down to the
southern regions of Vietnam vast paddy fields, orchards and small neighborhood.
It is certainly great fun to cycle on country roads alongside obsolescent means
of transportation such as ox-drawn carts, horse-drawn carriages and rickshaws.
Like cycling, boat riding is also a popular way to travel around the riverside
world of the delta. Both ways of traveling will allow visitors to fully enjoy
the scenery and come into much closer contact with the people they meet along
the way. Each cycling group will be led by a motorbike with a coach tagging
along behind.
Scattered along the coastal plains
and on the mountainous highlands, Vietnam's new and modern resorts offer
unlimited opportunities for recreation and relaxation - boating, fishing,
swimming, diving, golfing, sightseeing and strolling. Inspired by folklore and
regional architecture, the world-class resorts perfectly complement their
natural surroundings with modern comforts - fully equipped rooms and individually
covered terraces affording vistas of palm-shades beaches and forested mountains
- and enhance the images of Vietnam by blending her warm hospitality, unique
taste and rich culture together.
Sapa's stunning natural beauty and
friendly people are fast becoming a favorite of extensive travellers. It is
never short of spectacular sights as visitors trek through seldom-visited
villages nestling amidst green terraced rice fields with splendid cloud-capped
mountains in the background and then immerse themselves in the peace and quiet
of the wilderness. A rare moment to share home and hospitality with the
villagers is a special experience not to be forgotten: socializing with the
locals, getting to know their way of life and listening to their mystical
legends. Then explore intriguing cross-cultural fairs where people of the
H’mong, Yao, Tay hill tribes in their colourful attire get together with their
overpacked horses and back baskets in a merry mood. It all seems like a dream
in a different world.
During the trek, overnight stays at local homes or in tents and full board will
be arranged. Equipment such as sleeping bags, raincoats, torches, water
filters, tents, mosquito nets will be furnished. Porters will be supplied if
required. Make sure that the tour coincides with the Saturday & Sunday
fairs in the Bac Ha area. The trip is feasible only in the dry season from
October to April.
