Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrive in Hanoi

Upon arrival in Hanoi, welcome by tour guide and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 Hanoi street food and city tour (B,L)

Today we visit Hoan Kiem Lake, One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and enjoy traditional cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Walking along the narrow streets of the old quarter and taste variety of local street food, such as banh cuon (Vietnamese rolling cakes), bun cha and cha que (rice noodles served with sausage with cinnamon), nem (deep fried “square-shape” spring rolls) and che (a popular dessert soup with many varieties kinds of beans). Take a rest at a local café and experience Hanoi coffee culture.

Day 3 Hanoi – Ha Giang (B)

Morning start our adventure to Ha Giang. The 7-8 hour drive takes us through the most breathtaking scenery trails in Vietnam. Take a short walk around a Tay village. Travel distance: approximately 300 kms; Driving hours: 7-8 hours

Day 4 Ha Giang – Dong Van – Lung Cu (B)

Continue our journey to Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. Travel through Quan Ba, Yen Minh and Dong Van district, visit the infamous Vuong Palace, a H’mong high-rank family during French colonial rule. Climb up to Lung Cu Flag Tower, the northernmost point of Vietnam. Travel distance: approximately 250 kms; Driving hours: 6-7 hours

Day 5 Dong Van – Meo Vac – Cao Bang (B)

Today drive to Meo Vac to visit the weekend market of the local tribal people. Then drive through the rolling hills and the picturesque scenery to Cao Bang. On the way we will have a chance to meet the Hmong, Dao, Tay and Nung ethnic minorities and learn about their cultures and daily lives. Travel distance: approximately 300 kms; Driving hours: 8-9 hours

Day 6 Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall and Nguom Ngao Cave – Ba Be (B,D)

Today we take a scenic day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Vietnamese-Chinese border. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. After lunch, continue visiting Nguom Ngao limestone cave. Drive to Ba Be to check-in homestay and enjoy dinner.

Day 7 Ba Be Lake – Hanoi (B)

Morning visit the legendary Ba Be Lake. The lake itself is formed by three small lakes joined together – Pe Lam, Pe Lu and Pe Leng. Embark on a boat cruising down the Nang River which is the main water source of the lake. Drive back to Hanoi in the late evening. Travel distance: approximately 250 kms; Driving hours: 5-6 hours

Day 8 Hanoi – Bai Tu Long Bay (B,L,D) – transfer by shuttle bus and with guide on board

Pick-up at your hotel and drive to Bai Tu Long Bay. Enjoy Vietnamese food for lunch while leisurely cruising to the core of Bai Tu Long Bay. After lunch, discover Cap La Island – the beautiful area in Bai Tu Long bay. Enjoy kayaking through the karst and breathtaking nature, go swimming or relax. Back to the boat to enjoy sunset happy time (tea or fresh fruits) or join the cooking demonstration. Enjoy set-menu dinner and free time for relaxing or squid fishing (depending on the weather).

Day 9 Hon Gai Harbor – Hanoi (B,L)

Freshen up your new day with doing Tai Chi. Enjoying breakfast. Explore Thien Canh Son Cave before back to your boat and get ready to check-out. Join in the fruit carving activity. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch before disembarding from cruise at Hon Gai Harbor. Transfer back to your hotel and check-in hotel.

Day 10 Hanoi – Departure (B)

Have a leisure morning until check-out from hotel. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight (private transfer with driver). Have a great trip!
