Day 1/ Arrive Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to hotel for check in. The rest of day is free at leisure. Hotel: Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi https://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-1555-sofitel-legend-metropole-hanoi/index.shtml It is a French colonial Hotel in the heart of Hanoi, near Hoan Kiem Lake and the magnificent Opera House. Boasting a classical white façade, green shutters, original wrought iron detail, and a lush courtyard, the Hotel is one of the region’s few remaining of its era, recently restored to its former glory.

Day 2/ Hanoi City Tour – Private water puppetry peformance (B,L)
After breakfast, our morning tour includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (façade only), One Pillar Pagoda, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the marvelous Confucian Temple of Literature. After lunch, enjoy 1-hour pedicab ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarters. Then we will visit the mini stage of one famous puppeteer in Hanoi. We will enjoy 30-minute water puppet performance at his house’s mini stage. We not only get to watch the show but are also encouraged to handle the puppets. Then we have a warm talk with the puppeteer to learn more about the culture and story of the unique art originated in Vietnam’s wet rice civilization. Back to hotel and have free time or you may take complimentary history tour "the Lost Bomb Shelter" of this hotel, an honorable mentioned in 2013 UNESCO Heritage Awards. Day 3/ Hanoi – Halong Bay (B,L,D)
In the morning, you will take a scenic drive to Halong. Embark on the cruise and enjoy lunch while your cruise sets sail to cruise into the Bay. Discover Cua Van floating fishing village, Tien Ong Cave, and you can either hop on a small bamboo boat rowed by the local people or paddle by yourself in a kayak. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon and dinner on board. Day 4/ Halong Bay (B,L,D)
Enjoy freshly brewed coffee with pastries in the dining room or join the Tai Chi morning class on the sun deck which is a truly one-time experience. We transfer to a boat named “Sunset” for an interesting day exploring Halong Bay. Breakfast is served as the Sunset sails for the Surprise Cave (Sung Sot) with the most beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. Back to your day boat and relax on board. We have time to just relax on your sunbed or to kayak through this increadible water landscape. Lunch is served in a restaurant before we continue to visit a floating pearl farm. Back to overnight cruise and enjoy dinner.

Day 5/ Halong Bay – Hanoi – Danang (B)
Early risers can join Tai Chi class on sundeck. You can swim, kayak or climb up to the hill top of Titop Island for stunning views of the Bay. Back on board, you may like to shower and freshen up. A full breakfast is served in the dining room. Cruise ends at TuanChau in the late morning. Drive back to Hanoi airport for departure flight to Danang. Arrive in Danang and transfer to hotel for check in. The rest of day is free at leisure. Day 7/ Danang – Cam Thanh & Tra Que Village – Hoi An Ancient town (B,L)
Morning, we visit Tra Que organic vegetable village and join in farmer’s daily activities. Experience gentle the water buffalo and paddling a bamboo basket boat in the river. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Afternoon, we explore Hoi An – a small charming town with busy local market, ornate Chinese temples, long-standing Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoian Museum, Kwan Kung Temple, Phung Hung Ancient House and traditional workshops. Drive back to Danang and the rest of day is free at leisure.
