1
Day 1 Arrive in Saigon
Arrive in Saigon. Welcome by tour guide and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 2 Saigon city tour – Grain Cooking Class (B,L)
In the morning, take half day city tour, featuring the City Post Office area and Reunification Palace. Continue visiting the Fine Art Museum and enjoy local coffee at the Art Cafe before heading to Ben Thanh Market. Afternoon, we will join “Grain by Luke Nguyen cooking class”. Grain’s studio has its own fresh market on site. You will lend a hand to cook a 4-course meal, giving you confidence to prepare your own home cooked Vietnamese dishes.

Day 3 Mekong Delta (B,L)
Today drive to Cai Be (2.5 hours). Take a boat trip to visit Cai Be floating market and a local village with their traditional workshops making poped-rice cakes, rice paper and coconut candy. Then we proceed to Tan Phong Island to visit workshops making country cottage roofs and other products such as baskets, bags and hats from hyacynth. We have the option of biking on the island. Enjoy lunch with Mekong Delta specialties and enjoy traditional music. Back to Saigon and overnight in Saigon.

Day 4 Saigon – Danang – Hoi An (B)
Transfer to the airport for morning flight to Danang. On arrival, welcome by local tour guide and transfer to Hoi An check-in hotel
Afternoon, we take a walking tour of Hoian where you can find traditional architecture, tailor shops and artwork. This town used to be a trading post for seafaring Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese merchants several centuries ago. The evening is free at leisure.

Day 5 Hoi An – Red Bridge Cooking Class (B,L)
Today’s highlight is a cooking class at Red Bridge cooking school. We will enjoy a cup of coffee at our meeting point Hai Scout Café, then pay a visit to Hoian’s colorful market where you will have the opportunity to learn about the ingredients used in the cooking lesson. We take a leisurely cruise along the river to the Red Bridge cooking school. The 2-hour cooking lesson will teach you how to make some of Hoian’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. Your final preparation will be your lunch for the day. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to explore the town on your own or relax.

Day 6 Hoi An – Hue City tour (B)
Today we depart for Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam. We make a stop in Danang to visit the Cham Sculpture Museum. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as we travel over the spectacular Hai Van Pass. A panoramic view of the clouds, sea and mountains unfold at the scenic location of Lang Co lagoon.
Afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel and its Royal Enclosure, the Forbidden Purple city, and Don Ba Market. The evening is at leisure.

Day 7 Hue – Home Cooking (B,D)
Morning, we travel eastward along the perfume river to Thanh Toàn tile-roofed Bridge located about 8 km from Hue city. Here we will enjoy the peaceful scenery of the countryside with farmers working on their tranquil rice fields. We can talk to friendly local people in the small market and learn more about their daily life. Then we visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the ancient Buddhist temple considered as a symbol of Hue. Back to hotel and free at leisure.
Late afternoon, we will join home cooking at a local house. We will learn how to prepare some of Hue’s favorite dishes and enjoy dinner with the local family. This is a good opportunity to learn about Vietnamese culture and cuisine.

Day 8 Hue – Hanoi (B)
Transfer to the airport for flight to Hanoi. Pick-up and transfer to hotel check-in. Free at leisure.

Day 9 Hanoi street food & full day city tour (B,L)
The street food tour begins with a visit to a traditional house in the old quarter to learn about the old trade and its unique architecture. Stop at Bach Ma temple and continue walking along the narrow streets to Hang Be market. Taste street foods and learn about “local cuisine culture”, such as cha que (sausage with cinnamon), banh cuon (Vietnamese rolling cakes), bun cha (rice noodles served with cha que), nem (deep fried “square-shape” spring rolls) and che (a popular dessert soup with many varieties kinds of beans). Take a rest at a local cafe.
Afternoon, continue visiting the Temple of Literature – the oldest university of Vietnam and Hoan Kiem Lake. The tour ends with the traditional cyclo ride through Hanoi's Old Quarter. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 10 Hanoi Cooking Class (B,L)
Today we join one of the popular Blue Butterfly Cooking Classes in Hanoi. Pick-up by your Chef and head to the cooking site. We will experience an interactive and fun way to learn new cooking skills and savor the tastes and textures of Vietnamese cuisine. This half day tour gives you a hands-on lesson on how to shop for fresh ingredients and cook authentic Vietnamese food.

Day 11 Departure (B)
Transfer to the airport for departure flight.
