Day 1/ Arrive in Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi, transfer to hotel check-in. Your Hotel, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is a French colonial Hotel in the heart of Hanoi, near Hoan Kiem Lake and the magnificent Opera House. Boasting a classical white façade, green shutters, original wrought iron detail, and a lush courtyard, the Hotel is one of the region’s few remaining of its era, recently restored to its former glory.

Day 2/ Hanoi city tour (B,L,D)
After breakfast, our morning tour includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (façade only), the One Pillar Pagoda, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the marvelous Confucian Temple of Literature. The afternoon, visit the Fine Arts Museum and enjoy 1-hour pedicab ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarters, followed by a water puppet show at Thang Long Theatre. Tonight enjoy your welcome dinner at the stunning 5-star La Verticale restaurant.

Day 3/ Hanoi – Halong (B,L,D)
In the morning, depart on a scenic drive to Halong. Transfer by tender to the luxury Violet Junk where you enjoy your Welcome Cocktail onboard. The boat sets sail to cruise into the Bay. A delectable buffet lunch with a feast of choices is served in the restaurant. We start to explore a cave, named Tien Ong, and visit Cua Van floating fishing village by a small bamboo boat. We sail to the overnight mooring area Luom Bo. Dinner is served in the restaurant either à la carte or buffet style. Your luxury Violet Junk, fitted out in the 1930’s Indochine style. It featured a boutique dining room, library & lounge, Spa & Gym and 6 individual theme cabins with marble bathroom, jacuzzi & balcony.

Day 4/ Halong Bay – Hanoi – Danang – Hoian (B)
For early risers (~6.30 o’clock) tea, coffee and pastries are available at the restaurant area. A Tai Chi class is offered on the sundeck. The boat continues to sail to Titop Island. We set over by tender to this little landmass in the bay. Back on board, a full breakfast is served in the dining room. Back on shore. Then transfer to Noi Bai airport for a short flight to Danang. Day 5/ Hoian city tour (B,L)
We have a tour of Hoian, a charming and colorful village. Explore this small charming city with busy local market, ornate Chinese temples, long-standing Japanese Covered Bridge, Hoian Museum, Kwan Kung Temple, Phung Hung Ancient House and traditional workshops. Take a boat on Thu Bon River.

Day 7/ Hoian - Danang – Saigon (B)
Free for relaxing at your resort, check out. Then transfer to Danang airport for flight to Saigon. Day 8/ Full-day trip to the Cai Be floating market, Mekong Delta (B,L)
Drive to Cai Be. Take a boat trip to visit the floating market in Cai be. Then, continue to Phu An, an untouched remote area. On the way, optional stops at local home factories where you can see how rice paste and rice popcorn are made. A Mekong-style lunch will be served at Le Longanier, a superb Indochina villa located in a lush tropical plantation by the river. Cruise ends at Phu Nhuan Bridge near Cai Lay and transfer back to Saigon. The evening is at your leisure.

Day 9/ Saigon now and then (B, L, D)
Your day starts with a visit to the Jade pagoda which was built in the early 20th century. We then drop by other interesting locations such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Municipal Post Office, and Reunification Palace. You continue the drive a long a man-made canal that was an important water way to link Sai Gon and to the Mekong Delta 200 years past. We will stop at typical Market in China town. Have lunch with local Saigonese style dishes. Enjoy farewell dinner at a romantic restaurant.
