This program will let you experience the heart and soul of Vietnam away from the main tourist trail. We will start out from Hoi An and gradually cruise through a landscape transforming from the flat of rice fields, to jungle and foot hills, to pine forests and the breathtaking beauty of rugged mountains. Along the way we will visit and interact with the local people and get an understanding of day to day life. We will descend into the central highlands to continue the adventure. Along the way we will stop at factories, plantations, national parks and other points of interest. Prepare for an adventure of a lifetime.

1
Day 1/ Hoi An – Kham Duc
We will pick you up at your hotel and depart after breakfast and visit the Marble Mountains before setting out into the mountains on a spectacular journey.  We can visit a K’Tu Ethnic Minority village, and a pineapple plantation. For a while we will be driving on part of the original Ho Chi Minh Trail and arrive in the town of Kham Duc that saw fierce fighting and was one of Americas biggest losses.

Day 2/ Kham Duc – Kon Tum (B,L)
We continue in the mountains. We will visit minority villages and stop at other points of interest along the way. There will be a lot of photograph opportunities including a French built wooden minority church in an orphanage village, Rong houses that are unique to the Bana ethnic minority. Dak To Victory Monument (in 1972) and Scorpion waterfall.

Day 3/ Kon Tom – Buon Ma Thuot (B,L)
On our travels to Buon Ma Thuot we will visit a rubber plantation, pepper farm and tea plantation. We will enjoy the beautiful Sea Lake and war memorials. The drive will take us through Pleiku (a very significant city during the war years) We can cross a suspension bridge to visit a local village and end in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 4/ Buon Ma Thuot – Lak Lake – Buon Ma Thuot (B,L)
The day will be a slower pace as we visit a national park where you can enjoy a jungle trek and visit spectacular Dray sap waterfall. We will also visit a number of different plantations and other interesting sites. Today we will also take less travelled routes for good photography opportunities in small minority villages that are still locked in past lifestyles. At Lak Lake you will have the opportunity to ride an Elephant if you so desire.

Day 5/ Buon Ma Thuot – Lak Lake – Dalat (B,L)
The day will be spent in route to Dalat. Along the way we will make stops at a silk factory and Elephant waterfall. There will be plenty of photo opportunities and places to enjoy breath taking scenery. We will stop to see how “weasel” coffee is made. On arrival in Dalat we will visit the famous flower gardens.

Day 6/ Dalat – Nha Trang (B,L)
Today we stop at beautiful Linh Phuoc pagoda. Starting for Nha Trang we enjoy one of the most spectacular drives one can do in Vietnam. Our descent from the mountains will take us on a 32 km stretch of all downhill roads from perhaps above the clouds for an ear popping experience. At sea level we will have time to enjoy a walk through a small tribal village and walk on a suspension bridge before we will arrive in Nha Trang and check into your hotel. Have a safe journey!
